The Lemonade of Heaven

My first business at about seven years old, with my friend Larry, was a lemonade stand. A bag of lemons, water, ice, sugar and we were in business. Lemons by themselves are sour, but add ice, sugar, and water and it becomes sweet and delicious. The lemonade principle is this. In life you may have had tragedies, sorrows, setbacks, disabilities and things not going as you wanted. But the first business of the children of the Kingdom is the lemonade business of heaven. Messiah is the Redeemer; HaGoel, in Hebrew. He doesn't just throw things out. He redeems them. He takes the pain and the bad things of your life and turns them for good. If He turns all things for good, in the end it becomes good. That's His nature. Now it's your nature in Him, because you're in Him and your nature is to learn how to do this. No matter how sour or bitter things are in your life, apply the power of God's Spirit, faith and the presence of Messiah. And that sour thing is going to turn into something beautiful. It's as simple as making lemonade.
