We put our money in banks or investments and they gain interest, but all the money and interest is going to be nothing in the end. There's another way of investing which gives returns that don't pass away. The Lord has a fund. It pays great dividends, a hundred fold or more. It never fails and always pays you back on your investment. It's eternal riches. Proverbs 19:17 says, "He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord." When you give to people who can't pay you back; the poor, the needy, the hungry, the lost, or when you give to the Lord's work; the great commission, to spread the gospel, you give to His glory. You're not just giving to a person; you're lending to the Lord. Giving with no thought of getting back anything on earth is an investment in the Lord's heavenly fund. You'll receive back eternal treasures. In this life, give abundantly and generously with joy. Because it's not only the best thing to do; it's the wisest investment, and it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together and overflowing.
