THE CHARLIE KIRK EFFECT

Shalom, to you my Friend and Co-Minister in the Great Commission...
   It was not long ago that the Christian activist, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated. I had shared on YouTube that two days before the assassination, a post was put up on the web detailing how the author, a feminist, had employed several witches to place a curse on Charlie Kirk. Two days later he was assassinated. No witch has the power to do anything except that God allows it, and God allowed it. At the same time the involvement of witches is part of a larger picture - spiritual warfare.
   The assassination of Charlie Kirk was part of a war that is being waged for the future of America. On one side, are those who seek to preserve the Christian biblical foundations and values upon which America has long stood. On the other side, are those who seek to overturn those values and that foundation. The place in which Kirk was killed was Orem, Utah. The word Orem means Serpent or Dragon; the description of Satan. The name, Kirk, means Church. So the man named Church came to the placed called Serpent or Dragon - and there, the dragon struck him. The dragon wars against the Church. It is also worthy of note that Kirk was struck in his throat - for the enemy is seeking to silence the Church.
   But the Church was born in the death and resurrection of Messiah. And so, death is never the last word but only the first. In Messiah, death leads to life. It is not an exaggeration to say that Charlie Kirk was a martyr. He died while bearing witness and, because of bearing witness to God and His ways. It has been said that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church. And so it has been with the death and blood of Charlie Kirk. It has not silenced the church nor intimidated it. Instead, it has strengthened and emboldened it. Since his death and because of it, there has been a noticeable increase in people coming to Church, especially of the young. There has been a turning among Generation Z, especially among young men, to the Lord and to biblical values. And, there has been a renewed conviction among believers of every kind to live all out for God and for the Gospel.
   As I wrote last month, we are in a critical window of time where the only answer is revival. Let us, likewise, commit ourselves to go all out for God, pray as never before for revival, to live as never before for the Lord, and to spread the Gospel boldly as never before, to all who need to hear it. And may God greatly bless you this month as you do!
